Grand Renewable Solar Project

In 2013, CC&L Infrastructure partnered with Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. and Six Nations of the Grand River to construct the 100-megawatt Grand Renewable Solar Project (GRS). At the time, GRS represented the largest solar project of its kind in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

Located in Haldimand County, Ontario, GRS incorporated locally made components and employed hundreds of workers from across Ontario in all aspects of the project. The project achieved commercial operation in 2015 and now produces enough clean energy to meet the needs of over 17,000 households.
